Shhh...

My friend Marisa has laid down a gauntlet for me (probably because she knows that I'm totally into doing these kind of things) as follows:

List 5 things that certain people (who are not deserving of being your friend anyway) may consider to be "totally lame," but you are, despite the possible stigma, totally proud of. Own it. Then tag 5 people to do the same.

Hm. Well here goes.

1.) I am totally addicted to the Bravo reality show "Top Chef", even though I have no culinary ability whatsoever. I don't miss a show. I even read the show blogs every week. If you call me on Wednesday nights between 9:00 and 10:00, I will not answer your phone calls.

2.) I cry at makeover shows. From "Extreme Home Makeover" to "What Not to Wear" to"Tim Gunn's Guide to Style", I love seeing people who believe horrible things about themselves finding their inner beauty, or seeing their formerly demolition-worthy home created into a chrome-appliance superstore.

3.) I cannot watch horror movies. They give me nightmares, and make me think that I'm going to be attacked in my car on the way home from work by a man with a rusty knife.

4.) I'm a closet equestrian. I ride horses every couple of years or so at my parents' house, but I had lessons when I was younger, and I'm a good rider, apparently. I love horses, but I don't admit it very often. Scott always rolls his eyes at me when I see a police horse, because I'm like, "Oh, that's such a pretty horse."

5.) I currently have a 4.0 on a 4.0 scale in grad school, after 2+ years. I shouldn't care about this, because no one else does, but I do. That's totally lame.

Okay. That's it for now, though I'm sure there are bazillions of other things I could add to this list. I tag Curtis, Scott, Jen S., Lauren, and Zach. With the knowledge that some of them might not do it, and the knowledge that I'm not really sure who reads this blog regularly. :)
