Consolations

There is a blog out there in blogland called "Accidental Nudity Stories." I know this because as I logged on to blogger, there it was, flitting past on the list of active blogs. It led to me to an obvious question...do I have an accidental nudity story? I am sad to inform you that I cannot think of one. Though in my recent "Ghost Stories" shindig, I did have a moment where I was changing clothes behind the curtain (ha, ha, ha...all you audience members wondered why we closed the curtain every night, didn't you??), and a cast member's father wandered behind the curtain. I was not exactly naked, but not exactly clothed, either. So, somewhere in this fabulous city, there is a middle-aged father who has seen me in jeans and a Victoria's Secret bra. More power to him. I console myself with the fact that my bikini is significantly more revealing. Though I was thinner the last time I wore that...

In other news, I am keeping a log of my sleep patterns because I had to keep track of something for a class of mine, and the exercise thing wasn't working out for tracking purposes, in that I am not exercising. Here is a shocking bulletin. I am short on sleep. I console myself on this point that it is the weekend, and tomorrow morning, I will be able to sleep in to my heart's content. I love sleeping in. This morning, I played a game with my alarm clock. I kept telling it that it was wrong. It kept telling me to get up. It won. I am awake. Which is good info for all you who thought that I write in my sleep.

In still further news, I have a plan to venture forth and purchase another television this weekend. For those of you regular readers of this blog, you know that I had a rather disastrous run-in with a Best Buy purchased 27" TV a couple of months ago, and it scared me enough to leave the electronics world to itself for a while. But now that "Ghost Stories" is over, and I will be home more often (this will be shocking for me and for my roommate...but I'm very much looking forward to seeing her more than once a week), I am looking forward to watching some trashy TV. And I miss the Food Network. So TV shopping I will go. I console myself this time by saying that not all electronics suppliers are evil and trying to trick me out of my money. This may be a lie. But I am like a knight, poised for battle. I have my credit card in one hand, my handy TV-carrying boyfriend in the other, and my steely green-eyed poker face ready. I am fighting for a TV, and they are fighting for my business. May the battle be hearty, fair, stealthy, and quick. I don't have all day to be in battle. I have other plans.

May all your battles this weekend be quick. Really, can't ask for much more than that.

Why don't you give ABT Electronics a try, everyone I know loves that place. And you can haggle with them, I know you love a good haggle. They are up in Glenview, family owned, etc. http://www.abtelectronics.com/custserv/abtHours.php3
