Luke

I have written about Luke, my nephew several times in the past. Everyone keeps asking me for pictures. Ok, I give in.

I HATE this picture of me (the angle is shocking...hello double chin...and camera too close!!), but I adore the fact that Luke and I are completely in sync with one another, our heads leaning the same direction, the same smiles on our faces.

He is ridiculously cute, is he not?

Here's one of his first birthday party. My father appropriately named this picture "Birthday Boy Tuckered Out."

Luke is my little man. We had a 15 minute conversation on the phone the other day. He cannot put two words together, but we went back and forth, in conversational cadence, while he babbled away, occasionally inserting a recognizable word. Mostly, he was delighted to be talking to me. And I was equally delighted to be talking with him. Kary said that she can't wait for the day when he can understand what I'm saying and answer my questions, because she'll be able to hand off the phone, and we'll talk for hours while she gets stuff done. This may very well be true. He's a talker, just like his Auntie Tee-tee. And Auntie Tee-tee couldn't be prouder. :)
