My favorite person in the world

I went and visited my favorite 2-year-old this past weekend. Luke is so fabulously cute. And he talks a mile a minute. Mostly in gibberish with a few real words thrown in for good measure. But he definitely talks up a storm like his Aunt Tracy, that's for sure.

I made the trek to Michigan Friday night, and got there long after all had gone to bed. I saw my sister in the middle of the night (she's 9 months pregnant, after all, so she gets up often to go to the bathroom!), but Luke didn't get to see me until he woke up in the morning. I looked at his bedhead hair just after he came in to say hi, and said, "Whose hair is sticking up this morning?" And he pointed to me and said, "Weesy's!" Whoops, gotta love it when that backfires.

20 or so minutes later, we were sitting at our seats at the breakfast nook eating breakfast, and I was talking to my sister about something inane. In the middle of her sentence as she was pouring herself some juice, Luke reached over and patted my leg and rubbed my arm and said, "I love you, Weesy." And went back to eating his breakfast.

OH MY GOSH. I love that kid. So I told him so.

Kary and I went back to talking, and Luke reached over again and did the same thing 5 minutes later. "I love you, Weesy."

It's a weird thing to lose your heart to someone who is just learning his ABC's. But I have to tell you...I totally love that kid!
