Glam
There are some girls who hate to dress up. Looking at me, one might assume that I am one of those girls. I almost never do my hair for work (always in a ponytail), I wear only basic makeup during the day, and I stumble out of my apartment wearing whatever is the most comfortable while still being business appropriate, and I am always, always, always wearing black to work. I am a basic, whatever outfit lets me sleep in the longest kind of girl. This is probably exacerbated by the fact that I have a 50 minute commute in the morning, and would like to be to work on time all of the time. If possible. I also hate wearing high heels. Not because I'm super tall, people should just get over that. Because they hurt my feet. And I hate it when my feet hurt, I get cranky.
But, actually, I am the kind of girl who loves to glam it up. Scott is going to this benefit thing for one of the plays that he is involved in, and it's a smash-hit, see- and be-seen kind of party. And I am desperately sad that I cannot go. By cannot go, I mean that I will not fork over $50 when I am already financially strapped to go to something where I don't know anyone, but I am tempted. I am tempted, because I want to get all glammed up, do my hair and makeup and put on little sexy, beautiful tops and skirts, or a dress or pants, with cute, strappy kitten-heeled sandals. All of which are most likely black. :) What can I say, I'm a big fan of the "black is the new black" way of thinking. :)
Anyway, I'll have to keep my glamour girl self under wraps for the time being. I do so love being girly, and hope I get my next opportunity soon. But today, it's a ponytail and black shirt/black pants/black shoes and socks, and black and white pearl belt kind of day. Bummer.

Just wanted to let you know that every year I have a completely ridiculous formal Christmas party in which everyone is encouraged to black tie it up for no reason other than to be glam. Plan on it!
