Movin' on up

Sorry re: my delay in blog updates. I was out of town, and could not access my lovely bloggie.

My friend Rochelle sent me my new favorite joke today. If you are easily offended, stop reading and come back tomorrow or the next day for a new post. For the rest of you...here it is:

A woman from Chicago and another from the East Coast
were seated side-by-side on an airplane. The woman
from Chicago, being friendly, said:

So, where are you from?"

The East coast woman said, "From a place where they
know better than to use a preposition at the end of a sentence."

The woman from Chicago sat quietly for a few moments and then replied:

"So, where are you from, bitch?"

I laughed out loud at this. In my office. I couldn't help it. Because Scott, the East Coaster that I am dating, always reprimands me about using prepositions at the end of sentences. I'm not stupid, and I'm not a valley girl. I just want to say things how I want to say them. Even with the prepositions at the end! Apparently, I'm not the only Chicago woman who thinks this way. I love the combination that I see in many Chicago women of friendliness and feistiness. This joke says it all. Hope you get it, in every way that you can...
